HOW APPLE CAPITALIZED INDONESIA FOR YEARS
HOW INDONESIAN MARKET IS CRUCIAL FOR APPLE

Apple has finally surrendered after being banned from selling the iPhone 16 in Indonesia and has decided to increase its investment in the country by 1.58 trillion rupiah, or approximately 100 million USD.

For a long time, Apple has exploited the vast Indonesian market—selling their products in Indonesia without giving back to the country’s economy. Imagine this: they sell their products here but don’t build factories in Indonesia, instead choosing to open stores in Singapore. Do you think the reason Apple products sell so well in Singapore is because of Singaporeans? I don’t think so.
Think about it—Singapore’s population is only about 5.8 million people, yet the country manages to sell more iPhones than its total population. So, the question is, where do all these extra iPhones go? Yes, you guessed it. They end up in Indonesia of course.

But After the government banned the iPhone 16, Apple realized that ignoring Indonesia could be dangerous for the company’s future. As a result, they decided to invest even more in Indonesia to get back on track.. This move shows one thing loud and clear: Indonesia isn’t just a market for Apple—it’s a key part of their global business.
