Fix Steam Overlay Not Working On Mac (Latest Update 2014)

A fix for your Mac Steam In-game overlay if it isn’t working after the latest Steam update.

OTHER FIX: Update to Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra. You can download from the Mac App Store.

1. Go to System Prefs — Security and Privacy then to Accessibility.

2. If Steam is not ticked on, tick it ON.

If you have overlay trouble and come here and Steam is ticked on, tick it OFF.

3. Restart Steam.

4. Tick Steam on again in Accessibility.

5. Open a game and test!
