Is Modern Linux possible on the G5 iMac?! – (Debian and Adelie Linux on the G5 PowerPC iMac)

Today we look at running Modern up to date Linux distros on a 20-year-old iMac G5. To my amazement, distros are still being built for the PowerPC 64bit!

The command used to boot from USB:

boot ud:,\:tbxi

Massive thank you to John Paul Adrian Glaubitz, http://users.physik.fu-berlin.de/~glaubitz/ a volunteer Debian developer who still regularly builds PowerPC install images and manages the Debian PowerPC mailing list https://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/
