Apple teases October 28 launch for new M4 powered MacBooks, Mac Mini and iMac
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman stated Apple would launch its new M4-powered MacBook Pro laptops on October 30. His prediction is not too far off. Apple Marketing SVP Greg Joswiak has just teased an imminent MacBook launch on his Twitter.
His wording is intriguing, as it doesn’t specify a certain date and says “starting on Monday morning”. This suggests not all Apple products could be launched simultaneously, or at least, on the same day. Of course, the starts of the show will be the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, accompanied by the M4-powered Mac Mini, 24-inch iMac and a bunch of accessories such as a Magic Keyboard 2, Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Trackpad 2.
Additionally, we will get a glimpse at Apple’s beefier M4-based chips such as the M4 Pro and M4 Max. The top-spec M4 Ultra is unlikely to show up as it will presumably debut alongside a new Mac Pro or Mac Studio. That leaves us with the M4 MacBook Air, but you’ll have to wait until early 2025 for that.
