This video is about the Steam Deck upgradeability of the internal SSD, which has now been confirmed to be using a M.2 2230 size NVMe drive which can be user upgradeable. No word has been said about whether this would violate a warranty or whether it is an easy fix to achieve, we’ll have to wait for a proper teardown to know for sure. Any this is very exciting news as it means that we can potentially see limitless internal drive sizes, so we could combine a future 2TB SSD (once they are available) + 1TB SD card for a total of say 3TB of storage, which is a large proportion of many peoples’ Steam library sizes.
